Student participation in Theater program

Youth/Family Socials

Families and youth will enjoy healthy extracurricular opportunities such as talent shows, dances, socials or “girls” or “boys night out” on Friday evenings. Educational workshops for adults include offerings such as “Good Orderly Direction: Check-up from the Neck Up.” Youth offerings include workshops on self-esteem, self-worth, building morale, conflict resolution skills, bullying, and interpersonal relationships.

Through the various programs offered through MIB, youth will:
  • Have Fun
  • Develop and enhance artistic abilities
  • Build self-esteem
  • Improve self-discipline and increase self-worth
  • Learn group dynamics and how to respect others’ ideas, collaboration and communication skills
  • Improve accountability and learn how to take direction
  • Improve academics
  • Participate in community service
  • Commit themselves to a course of action and see it through to completion
  • Practice self-evaluation
