Blue Beads, Braids & Bangs Against Bullying - is a story about a little girl, Britney, who transfers to a new school and runs into her old bully. Not only does she have Shannon to contend with, but Shannon has incorporated a couple sidekicks-- Brandi and Melanie. However, sometimes the stars align and the universe balances out; Grace, Taylor, and Mark, better known as the Kid Crusaders, come to Britney’s rescue.
The play, A Day Without Black Folks - is adapted from the, similarly titled, story A Day Without Black People. It begins as a little boy awakes from a dream about a world where there are no black people. He proceeds to tell his mother about his dream. His mother, being very informed regarding the contributions of African Americans, immediately begins to tell him how ridiculous his dream was. There is a ten person cast, but only two are on stage. The other 8 are planted in the audience and randomly pop up to support mom and impart historical facts about the inventions and contributions of African Americans.
